How do I change my admin email address at my current registrar?
Before you initiate a domain name transfer to us, the administrative contact for your domain must have a valid email address. (If you are transfering a .au domain name to us, you must have a valid email address associated with your registrant contact information.)
Required: To change your email address, you'll need to contact your current registrar. If your domain has private registration, you must have your current registrar cancel it before they can change the email address.
Having a valid administrative email address is important because both registrars (your current registrar and us) use it to send you information about the transfer, such as your authorization code (if required).
